Quiz Night raises funds for MacMillan Cancer Fund

For their end of season prizegiving, Plockton Small Boat Sailing Club organised a quiz night in the Plockton Inn on 14th November.  Vice Commodore Bob Rowe acted as Chairman and first of all presented prizes for:

The Visitors Cup - Colin McAndrew (Sirius)

The Jubilee Trophy - Graham Sharp (Rona)

Line Honours (for Plockton local boats) - Graham Sharp (Rona)

The Dolan MacKenzie Perch Rowing Trophy was presented to Kenneth MacRae for the third year in a row.

His three other team members were Alexander MacKenzie, Gordon MacKenzie and William Bliss, with Jennifer Fergusson as Cox.

Claire MacDonald, the club's Social Convener was quizmaster as 10 four-member teams competed.  After a fun-filled evening, the McAndrew family were announced as worthy winners.  The Club would like to thank the Plockton Inn who provided finger food for everyone.

The proceeds from the quiz were £180.50 and the money raised from the entry fee for the Rowing Competition held earlier in the year was £45, resulting in £225.50 being donated to the local MacMillan Cancer Fund.
